The adjoining photo shows Single Spindle Drilling & Tapping Machine used to drill 8.3 mm x 165 mm deep oil hole into a crank case.

The hole is at 20 degree inclined to the sump face. The machine can accommodate all 2 , 3 and 4 cylinder crank case.

These Machine are with features like hydraulic part clamping, part seat check, cycle selector switch with interlock for 2, 3 & 4 cylinder crank case, locator pin breakage safety interlock and VFD for drilling spindle rotation. Drill feeding is with wood pecking by ball screw & nut assembly driven by servo motor. The tapping spindle is driven by servo motor. There is a Hydraulic index slide below drilling & tapping spindles. The complete system integrated with PLC controls provide greater flexibility and ease of operation.

The adjoining photograph shows specially designed & developed 5 ton hydrulic press for pressing ,75 mm diameter x 90 mm long sleeve into cast iron body. The component location & clamping is with hydrulically operated swivel type clamps to facilitate top loading of the components. The press is with two hand safety feature.
